Three high school girls with different personalities, Hikaru Shidou, Umi Ryuuzaki, and Fuu Hououji were at Tokyo Tower when they heard a distress call and were transported to another world. They met a young-looking man, Guru Clef, who informed them that they were the legendary Magic Knights summoned by Princess Emeraude to save Cephiro from monsters and Lord Zagato.
