Aizawa Haruki, 16 years old, is in his 2nd year of high school, and likes to live efficiently. One day during summer vacation, a girl, Aizawa Himari, suddenly appears, calling him 'Onii-chan' and claiming that she's his little sister. As it turns out, Haruki's father recently remarried, and his new wife brought a daughter with her. However, since both of their parents are overseas, it'll only be the two of them living under the same roof. And for some reason, Himari seems very obstinate about spending as much time with Haruki as she can.

Himawari! is the story of Himawari and her journey to become a Kunoichi, and her 'vow' to protect her master. Himawari Hinata recently transferred to Shinobi Gakuen to train to become the best kunoichi she can be. She wanted to be a ninja ever since she was saved by one when she was little. On her first day, she meets Hayato Madenokoji (a new transfer teacher) who saves her life. Hayato does not possess any ninja skills or traits, he is teaching the ninjas about normal society to pay off his debt. However, Himawari notices that Hayato bears the same mark on his neck as the ninja who saved her when she was young.

Himawari has always only needed her twin Nazuna, until an unwelcome pest comes along.

The Sunroad Shopping District is getting very few customers because of the recession and a new big mall that opened on the other side of the station. Ami is worried because she doesn't know what will happen to her family store, but the problem will be solved by her dear... unemployed brother:"In order to save the shopping district, become an idol!!"
