A story of a village girl named Sarmi Rahayu Ning Tyas (Hayu), who's very happy to change her ordinary life. She recklessly moved to the city to attend a university and help her mother's business who makes traditional herbal medicine. Unexpectedly, she met Rendaru Ganendra (Ndaru), her childhood friend that she hasn't seen for years. His face changed drastically, he's taller, has clearer skin, and is definitely Hayu's type. But sadly, he's surrounded by scary people and has a lot of bad rumors about him. Will Hayu stay by his side by accepting those rumors that will stick to her later?

This manga is quite old--it's from 1957. It centers around three members of the table tennis club at an all-girl school. Though it may not quite be yuri, it's a precursor to current yuri manga.
"The relationship between a detective and their assistant is not unlike romance!" Due to his natural tendency to assist others (a "helper type" personality that makes him constantly want to lend a hand), Mitomo Tasuku had always lived in the shadows. To break out of this, he made it his life's mission to "become number one."
