The upcoming anime known as Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann: Gurren Gakuen-Hen (Gurren School Edition) is set to showcase the characters from Gainax's robotic mecha series attending school in an alternate universe with a multitude of dimensions. Kamina describes the show as the characters getting the chance to "cherish their school lives" while basking in the heat of the shimmering sun.
Education is not the top priority at a Tokyo high school where fighting between student clubs causes havoc in the hallways and classrooms. Each club tries to outdo the others in being unruly, but only a small group of students works towards calming the violence.
