Namito Kominato, a high school student, gets seated behind a peculiar girl who is always drenched and wears a paper bag on his first day of school. He initiates a "Conversation Club" with a clique of stunning yet somewhat disadvantageous girls, consisting of timid and self-conscious Kamiyama-san, zealous but uniform-obsessed Hinata Arai, and Harusame Amano, who converses with the apparition of a magical girl. Thus, commences a slightly awkward romantic comedy, a tale of the passage into adulthood.
