A scientist discovers a new star, and names it after his daughter, Remina. She becomes a nationwide star for carrying the same name as this new star, but the people's astonishment is soon traded for terror as they realize that this new star is a case unlike no other: It's headed for Earth, and it's approaching fast... From Brolen: This is a horror/sci-fi story about a giant planet consuming creature from another dimension that a scientist discovers and mistakenly identifies as a planet. Being given the honor to name it as its discover, the professor chooses to name it after his only daughter, Remina, but when Hellstar Remina is headed on a direct collision course with Earth the world goes nuts and all the people in the city start a witch hunt to kill Remina, thinking she is somehow to blame.

Kaiouki

The main character is Fan Ganma Bizen. He is the captain of the legendary black vessel. Fan Ganma Bizen is lazy and clumsy -- that is him when is resting. But once Fan decides to work, he is the best man available. Fan says things that normal people can hardly understand. And he doesn't say much, he only gives lots of clues. Everything starts when Captain Fan let Mia and Tuban Sanoo be aboard. Mia is a princess of a fallen country and Tuban is the best, people say, swordsman as well as strategist. Although Fan Ganma Bizen is the main character, it seems Fan, Mia and Tuban are the main characters as Mia and Tuban appear in all episodes. Mia is looking for science to restore her county, Ontana. Tuban is protecting Mia as the will of someone Tuban trusted. Fan Ganma Bizen agreed to take Mia to where she could locate the science in exchange of her virginity. (Don't get Fan wrong here, I believe he meant something else but at this moment, Mia's virginity is all I can guess.)

Crossbone Gundam: Skullheart

Sequel to Crossbone gundam. Unlike the other two episodes of the "crossbone saga" this volume focuses on several short stories that don't have such a great effect over the jupiter war. While the book itself is not meant to be comedy, but the "character" of the stories is (generally) much less serious than either the first or the third part of the crossbone series. The stories are pretty varied in both, placing and characters. Due to that the series is actually decently strong in the cameo department.

Heads

This manga's story is based on a thriller by Keigo Higashino. The main protagonist, the shy Jun Naruse, is a rather average guy who works for a electronic company and loves to draw. He falls in love with Megumi whom he met at a shop selling drawing materials and an intimate relationship develops. A few days later the office gets attacked and when the criminal tries to shoot a little girl he saves her by jumping in front of her. A month passes until he wakes up again and is told that half his brain got destroyed and he only survived because someone donated half a brain. Everything seems to be fine, he quickly recovers and is happy, however he begins to change...is the donated brain the reason for that? Or is it just a side effect of the medicine?

Biomega

Tsutomu Nihei returns with another addictive manga (see BLAME!), set in the not-so-distant future (3005 A.D.). It follows a character by the name of Kanoe Zouichi and the mysterious Kanoe Fuyu whose luminous form is integrated into the system of his bike. They are agents sent by a powerful organization to retrieve the human with the ability to resist and transmute the NS5 infection that is spreading across the world, named Yion/Ion Green. However, their mission is delayed by the reckless actions of the Public Health Department's taskforce and the kidnapping of Yion/Ion Green. Will they complete their mission? Where has Yion/Ion Green been taken? These questions will only be answered as more volumes are released. The art in BioMega is similar to BLAME!, with its complicated concrete sprawl and ludicrously wide, empty spaces. However, things seem to happen at a more reasonable pace. In this manga, there is emphasis on the swiftness of the attacks made by Zouichi, such as the gun being sheathed just before the enemies fall to the ground. Speed is crucial in this manga, unlike in BLAME!, and the plot develops just as quickly. An interesting read, especially if one has enjoyed BLAME!

Zoushoku Shoujo Plana-chan!

Think Yotsuba but with a Planarian*/Human Mutant 4 year old girl instead of one with green hair. (*a planarian is a kind of non-parasitic flatworm organism)
