Sumire, a nine-year-old girl with clairvoyant abilities, finds herself held captive aboard a train by Doress, a secret organization who are now whisking her away to their laboratory. Seeing her chance to escape their clutches, Sumire inadvertently releases Doress' top secret experiment: a 17-year-old boy named Ikurou Hashizawa, who has been infected with the Baoh parasite. With extraordinary powers of invulnerability and regeneration at his disposal, Ikurou aids Sumire, and the two escape together. However, this is merely the start of their troubles. The future, probably Japan. Robots have long been put into practical use, and androids have just come into use. Influenced by the Robot Ethics Committee, it's become common sense for people to treat androids like household appliances. Their appearance - indistinguishable from humans except for the ring over each android's head - has led some people to empathize unnecessarily with androids. Known as "android-holics", such people have become a social problem. Rikuo, a high school student, has been taught from childhood that androids are not to be viewed as humans, and has always used them as convenient tools. One day Rikuo discovers some strange data in the behavior records of his family's household android, Sammy. Rikuo and his friend Masaki trace Sammy's movements, only to discover a mysterious café that features a house rule that "humans and robots are to be treated the same"...

From the Animeraider: This one is just plain bizarre. Funny and ecchi, but bizarre. Hanappe is something of a loser. He’s no good with women, and some have been known to take advantage of him. After one such incident where he winds up helping in a gun robbery after a woman flashes her breast at him, he goes home to (ahem) relieve himself when two demons pop out of his television set. They are Mephisto (the she-devil) and Ofisto Bazooka (the demon) and they’ve come to grant three wishes, but instead the demon assaults his mother, Mephisto piles a ton of money in front of his father and then goes after his sister, and they lose track of things. They decide instead of granting wishes to simply live here. As a result of this unplanned madness, Hanappe winds up with the power to make people spontaneously undress and want to have sex with him. He is also given the power to shut this off, but he doesn’t learn this immediately. It has consequences far beyond what he imagines though… And then Hanappe discovers a side-effect; he has untapped strength and abilities. And then it gets weird…

Publisher Hayakawa is celebrating its 70th anniversary with two manga anthology reprints. One collection is dedicated to mystery works while the other compiles sci-fi stories printed over the publisher’s long career.

In this world, there are two types of humans: Normal Humans and Synthetic Humans.

The main story (of which, this first chapter is sort of the prologue to) is about a couple, who are rivals in the world of high school Go (As in the Japanese board game).

A Robot War ensued an a small robot production island in the Pacific in the year 2025, where sentient supercomputer, Kyron 5, has decided that Mankind was irrelevant. A mecha battalion of Gunhed warriors – huge transformer style tanks – were dispatched to eliminate Kryon 5. They didn’t succeed, but Kyron 5 was essentially marginalized, so no more force was sent. Now, 13 years later, due to a depletion of world resources, the key component that creates supercomputers, Texmexium (I shit you not – this is the name!), is in short supply, as are spare microchips. A group of scavengers have decided to enter the “forbidden zone” and go to the Island in the hopes of collecting Gunhed chips, which are now worth more than gold. From Baka-Updates: In the year 2038, a group of scavengers enter the complex of the renegade Kyron-5 in search of precious element Texmexium. Death befalls each one until only the mechanic Brooklyn is left. He meets a stranded Texas Air Ranger and two children living in the rubble. They must destroy Kyron-5 in order to escape and to save humanity from its wrath. Brooklyn discovers a GUNHED (Gun UNit Heavy Elimination Device) combat robot and restores it. Meanwhile, Babe has been transformed into a bio-droid and is seeking out Sergeant Nim and the Texmexium she stole. In order to save her and destroy Kyron-5, Brooklyn must overcome his fear of cockpits and pilot the GUNHED all the way to the top of the tower. On the way, he faces the combined defenses of the complex.
