Takeru (武), also known by its fuller title, Supplementary Biography of Japan Takeru, is an alternate-history manga by Buichi Terasawa. Taking place in the Kingdom of Yamato, the story follows a “Haja” or “Dagger Man” named Ichimonji Takeru, a master of the “Word Soul”, who falls in love with the princess and goes to defeat the villains after her life to earn her love. This short, two-volume series was drawn in full color, and contains the intense action sequences and the creative designs that Terasawa is known for.
