Fifteen years ago, Japan was hit with random supernatural attacks. In response, the government formed the Tactical Raveling Unit (TR1M), a division under the First Counter-Psychotrauma Division of the Special Measures Agency. Their main goal is to combat the Unraveled, a dangerous phenomenon. They are known for their efficiency. Nika Agou, a TR1M agent, is transferred to a remote area and believes it's because of her poor performance. But she soon finds out that the area is rampant with Unraveled activity, and a boy with ulterior motives offers a chance for Nika to regain the trust of TR1M.

However, the task ahead for Moriking and its owners is not an easy one. They must help Moriking defeat four other candidate kings to become the Lord of the Forest, ruler of all the insects in the world. They handle a variety of issues, from handling disruptive club members to drafting love letters and searching for lost pets. Their dedication to helping those in need earns them the admiration and respect of the entire school.
